Facilities organizations in higher education typically provide a wide range of services. Such services may include planning, design, construction, renovation, and maintenance of the institution’s building, grounds, and infrastructure. Effective facilities organizations depend on an organizational component responsible for cognizance and oversight of the established systems for managing and controlling the flow of activities. This component in most facilities management organizations is defined as work management.
